With over 12 years of experience Dr. Abhay Kumar has performed umpteen number of urology and uro-oncology surgeries. Dr. Abhay presently leads the department of Urology, Uro-oncology & Robotic Surgery at Medica Superspecialty Hospital, Kolkata. After finishing MBBS from SCB Medical College & Hospital, Cuttack in 2003, Dr. Abhay did his MS - Gen Surgery from VSS Medical College & Hospital, Burla, Sambalpur, Orissa in 2009. He also holds DNB in Genito - Urinary Surgery from department of Urology and Kidney Transplant from the prestigious Jashlok Hospital & Research Centre, Mumbai. Dr. Abhay holds lifetime membership at Association of Surgeons of India and Urological Society of India. Dr. Abhay Kumar has performed individually, given assistance to seniors and guidance to juniors in performing various major and minor surgical procedures. Prior to joining NH Cancer Institute, Dr. Abhay was also associated with TATA Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. After joined NH Cancer Institute, he established the department of Uro-Oncology & Robotic Surgery at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah. Dr. Abhay specializes in the surgical care of patients with urology and urologic cancers. His Practice focuses on prostate, kidney, bladder, adrenal and testis cancer. His expertise encompasses laproscopic, endoscopic and open surgical approaches.
